■ "The Degradation and Regeneration of Rural Areas in Japan" NEW
On Tuesday March 8th, 2016, in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh, the Consulate will be holding a lecture entitled "The Degradation and Regeneration of Rural Areas in Japan".
The speaker, Professor Sakuno, is visiting from Shimane University in Japan, and will be discussing the problem caused by a rural depopulation and a greying population, and examples of how Japan is tackling these issues.
The event is free and open to all, and will be followed by a drinks reception.
