Report on the conferment ceremony for Mr James Millar’s Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2017

On August 30th a Foreign Minister’s Commendation for 2017 was conferred on Mr James Millar in a ceremony at the residence of the Consul General of Japan in Edinburgh. Guests who celebrated the occasion at the conferment ceremony included Mr Millar’s family as well as those connected to his achievements.
After the address from Consul General Matsunaga detailing Mr Millar’s achievements, and the conferment of the commendation with a certificate, Mr Murdo Fraser MSP and the Provost of Angus Cllr Ronnie Proctor gave congratulatory remarks regarding Mr Millar’s significant achievements in strengthening relations between Japan and Scotland.
The ceremony was followed by a reception to celebrate Mr Millar’s award.
