Rakugo performance and workshop at the University of Edinburgh
2017/11/11

On November 8th (Wednesday), the University of Edinburgh held its first rakugo (Japanese traditional comedy storytelling) performance and workshop by exchange students from Japan. The show was planned by the Japanese Studies Peer Support group and the three exchange students, and was performed in Japanese. The performers made sure to include explanations of the special rakugo terminology and Kansai dialect. Students learning Japanese really enjoyed the show. It was a performance worthy of professionals!
