Introducing Celtic Harpist Riko Matsuoka

On Wednesday 29th of August, the award winning Celtic Harpist Riko Matsuoka visited the Consulate and treated us to a wonderful performance using her Clàrsach.
This year, in June, Riko placed came first in the ‘Princess Margaret of the Isles Memorial Prize for Senior Clàrsach’ harp competition.
Riko continues to combine traditional Japanese nursery rhymes with traditional Scottish style composition; as will continue her post graduate studies at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland until next summer.
