Shōgi- Japanese Chess lecture and Workshop

On Monday 4th of February, as part of the UK- Japan Season of Culture 2019/2020, the University of Stirling will be holding a seminar and workshop to introduce the Japanese chess game, Shōgi.

Dr Shuzo Sakata, a senior lecturer in systems neuroscience at the University of Strathclyde will give an introduction into the principals of Shogi, followed by a masterclass to show you how to play! No previous knowledge of Shogi required, so beginners are also encouraged to take part.
Tickets are free, however spaces are limited to please register on eventbrite to reserve guarantee a place.
