The inaugural Cross-party Group on Japan meeting at Scottish Parliament.

On Wednesday 27th February Consul General Takaoka attended the Inaugural meeting of the Cross-party Group on Japan at the Scottish Parliament. The meeting was chaired by convener Dean Lockhart MSP.  The group members include Maureen Watt MSP, Pauline MacNeill MSP, Liam McArthur MSP, Colin Smyth MSP, Alexander Stewart MSP, Bill Bowman MSP, Tom Mason MSP and Jamie Halcro Johnston MSP.

Leading figures in business, academic, education and cultural institutions also participated in the meeting. There was an overwhelming agreement that continued development in trade, foreign direct investment, education, culture and sport is paramount for Scotland – Japan relations to continue to flourish.
