Report: A Seminar By the Asia Scotland Institute

On the 21st February, the Asia Scotland Institute held a series of seminars in Edinburgh entitled- ‘Japan and the United Kingdom- A Collaborative Future’ as a part of Japan-UK Season of Culture 2019 – 2020.

Ambassador Shotaro Oshima from the Institute of International Economics,  Professor Yuichi Hosoya from Keio University and Mr Seiji Kawazoe from Sumitomo-Mitsui Asset Management all presented  talks on the future Japan–UK relations and Brexit.
During the final panel discussion, Consul General Nozomu Takaoka gave an address and Mr Govinda Finn from Aberdeen Standard Investments also joined as a panellist. The seminar featured engaging questions and discussions on the importance of the ongoing relationship between Japan and the UK in the global context, after Brexit.
