Courtesy visit to Aberdeen from the Mayor of Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture (22nd July)

On the 22nd July, Consul General Nozomu Takaoka, together with Mayor of Yurihonjo City, Mr Makoto Hasebe and his delegation met and exchanged views with the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Mr Barney Crockett.
The Provost discussed the success and overwhelming support for offshore wind farms that have seen recent growth in Aberdeen, which is always considering new energy solutions.
The Consul General introduced the various activities within the energy sector from numerous Japanese companies around Aberdeen, as well as the achievements in industrial modernization of the Aberdeen born historic figure, Thomas Glover.
