Students from Nagasaki city enjoyed Highland Games (24th August)

On 24th August, secondary school students from Nagasaki enjoyed the Highland Games held in Lonach near Aberdeen which Nagasaki has a citizens friendship city affiliation with.
The Consul General Nozomu Takaoka, Chief Executive & Secretary of the Lonach Highland Games Jennifer Stewart, Lord Charles Bruce and Karate master Ronnie Watt were also present. Consul General Nozomu and Mrs. Takaoka gave the students caps for commemoration.
Highland Games are traditional sporting events date back to the 11th century, when such events were held in order to call for the best warriors. Participants compete in shot put, caber toss, a foot race and a tug-o-war. Highlights of the event include displays of music dance and march in the traditional Scottish costume of the Kilt.
