“Probus” meeting in Auchterarder (5th November)

On the 5th of November, Consul General Nozomu Takaoka was invited to the Auchterarder Probus club to meet with its members and give a talk on Japanese-Scottish relations.

The Club’s name comes from “Professional Business” and it was established to promote social contact for retired professionals and businessmen in Auchterarder & District area, in conjunction with the Rotary Club.

Club President the Rev. Iain F. Paton, President of the Rotary Club, John Boyd, President of the Lang Toon Probus club, Peter Russell and the club’s secretary, Bob Rennie, were all in attendance.

In the Consul General’s speech, he focused on historic ties and the bright future shared by Japan and Scotland.
