- Carve your very own Japanese hanko stamp to make your inkan impression, learn about the different stages in the Tenkoku 篆刻 process and the tools used.

10:00 – 10:30 Arrival and Registration with Tea/Coffee
10:30 – 11:15 Talk by Professor Masao Fukuhara on Roji Tea Garden design rules (Indoor Informal Talk)
11:15 – 12:30 Viewing examples of Professor Fukuhara Tea Garden designs and practical session to design a small tea garden, with guidance. (Indoor Demonstration and Drawing Involved)
12:30 – 13:00 Lunch
13:30 – 15:45 Practical workshop in the Roji Tea Garden focusing on construction skills. This will include: design layout and setting stones, Bamboo gate and fence building, planting design and use of Japanese tools used in bamboo and stone work (Outside Practical Work)
15:45 -16:30 Free time to explore Japanese Garden
Sun, 29 Mar at 10:00am: Paper Folding Workshop
- Join us for a fun and colourful workshop where you'll be introduced to the ancient art of paper folding. We’ll explore several techniques, patterns and shapes and you'll learn how to make some amazing three dimensional products to take home with you using just a few simple folds. (Please note, this is not an origami class but we will be working on a bigger scale and using tools where appropriate). You’ll leave with new skills, knowledge and lots of ideas of items to fold for yourself at home.
