Clothing
The Consulate has various cultural items that may be loaned for events. Please check over the guidelines carefully before requesting any items.

Guidelines
1. Items are loaned free of charge.
2. Items are normally loaned for one fortnight maximum.
3. You must tell us what the items will be used for, e.g. details, date and location of the event etc. 
4. You must collect and return the items yourself, unless otherwise stated. 
5. Please return all items on time. If an item is dirty or defective, please indicate this when returning. 
6. We ask you that you wash and iron borrowed clothing items before you return them to us.
7. If for some reason an item cannot be returned in the condition it was lent, the borrower will be required to pay for a replacement to be purchased and delivered to the Consulate.

Examples of  items available for loan
- Yukata
- Happi Coats
- Kimono
- Geta
- Toys such as Kendama, Tops, Shogi (Japanese chess), Go (Japanese go), and Karuta
- Tea ceremony items
- Calligraphy items
- Ikebana items (water basin for training and kenzan only)
- Hina dolls
- Kabuto
- Tatami mats (1 tatami mat and 1/2 tatami mat)
- Koto (Japanese harp)
- Nodate umbrella (Japanese Parasol with base)
- Koinobori (carp streamers)
- Food samples
