Japanese Cultural Activities Online: 9th Dan Karate Master Ronnie Watt OBE

Although the lockdown measures due to Covid-19 continue, please let us introduce some of the excellent Japanese cultural activities that you can get involved in online.
 

9th Dan Karate Master Ronnie Watt OBE, who was awarded The Order of the Rising Sun by the Japanese government in 2010, runs one of Europe’s top karate schools in Aberdeen. Even though his Karate Dojo is temporarily closed, the chairman of the National Karate Institution Scotland has been keeping his club alive and raising spirits by giving online lessons for the first time. An article that recently appeared in the local newspaper The Press and Journal describes how the Scottish karate master manages to host virtual training sessions and the positive impact his efforts have had on his students.
 

Due to its popularity, it appears that spaces have already been filled, but there are plans to recruit new students in the future.
