On the 26th of October Consul General Mr Takaoka participated in a very useful webinar event facilitated by Seafish with the assistance of the UK Department of International Trade, Scottish Development International and Seafood Scotland on the opportunities for Scottish companies in the Japanese seafood market. The event was addressed by the Consul General.
It was good to learn that both Japan’s sushi chains and supermarkets were making V shaped recoveries.
The new Free Trade Agreement between the UK and Japan signed last week, can provide more opportunities for Scottish companies to boost their exports to the Japanese market.
