Visit to Nissan Sunderland (6th May 2022)

On 6th May, the Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara visited Nissan Sunderland. The Sunderland factory, as one of the largest automobile factories in Europe, produces electric vehicles (EVs) together with internal combustion engine vehicles. The visitors were briefed about the use of robots in the production process, Nissan’s ongoing effort toward carbon neutral operation, and their plan to enhance EV production.
