Visit of Scouts from Iwate Prefecture to the Consulate (19th July 2022)

On Tuesday 19^th of July, 17 scouts from Iwate Prefecture made a courtesy visit to Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara. Led by Mr. Callum Falker of the Scottish Japan Society, they are in Scotland to participate in the International Patrol Jamborette. The Iwate Scouts have previously participated in this event in the past, but recent iterations have been cancelled due to the pandemic. Thus, this is the first time they have participated in this event in several years. From the 19^th to the 29^th of July, 17 boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 17 will be camping with Scouts from 15 different countries in the vicinity of Blair Atholl Castle. We hope that the scouts members will be able to take advantage of this opportunity for international exchange
