Opening of Exhibition of the Work of Ishiuchi Miyako at Stills Gallery, Edinburgh (22nd July 2022)

On Thursday 29th July 2022, the first exhibition of Japanese photographer Ishiuchi Miyako’s work in Scotland opened at Stills Gallery in Edinburgh as the first event launched under this year`s Edinburgh Art Festival. Deputy Consul General Minori Ishii spoke of the important achievements and legacies of Ms. Ishiuchi’s work, including representing Japan at the 2005 Venice Biennale. Moreover, she expressed her appreciation for cooperation in holding this exhibition. Also in-attendance at the event was Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, Mr. Angus Robertson MSP, who met with Deputy Consul General Ishii and reflected on the excellent opportunity the exhibition was for artistic exchange between Japan and Scotland.
