Visit to Beam Suntory by Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara (15th November 2022)

On the 15th of November, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara visited Beam Suntory, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings Ltd. At the office in Springburn, Consul General Fujiwara received an overview of the company structure and a detailed explanation of Suntory's activities in Scotland, including the Peatland and Water Sanctuary, a peatland and water source conservation program based on the company's corporate philosophy of "living with water" and “giving back to society”.
Afterwards, the tour moved to the blender lab, the receiving and shipping area for casks and raw materials, and the bottling site, where they received a detailed explanation of the production process and strict hygiene management. The tour then moved on to the Auchentoshan distillery, one of the five distilleries owned by the company in Scotland, to observe the whisky production process.
