Attendance at the annual Consular Corps Reception hosted by the Rt. Hon. Nicola Sturgeon MSP, First Minister of Scotland (7th Feb 2023)

On the 7th of February, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara attended the annual Consular Corps Reception hosted by the Rt. Hon. Nicola Sturgeon MSP, First Minister of Scotland at Edinburgh Castle. It was the first time resuming the annual event since it was postponement in 2020, due to COVID -19 restrictions.
In addition to First Minister Sturgeon, other Scottish Government ministers and senior Scottish Government officials also attended. These included Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, Angus Robertson MSP; Minister for Business, Trade and Tourism, Ivan McKee MSP; and Minister for Culture, Europe, International Development, and Minister with special responsibility for Refugees from Ukraine, Neil Gray MSP attended the event and deepened exchanges with the consular delegation.
Consul General Fujiwara was honoured to meet with the First Minister and other Scottish Government Ministers and have the opportunity to exchange views with them on continuing cooperation between Japan and Scotland.
