Signing of book of condolence for the victims of the earthquake in the Republic of Turkey (8th February 2023)

On February 8th, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara visited the Consulate-General of the Republic of Turkey in Edinburgh to sign their book of condolences for the victims of the earthquake that struck the south-east of the country on Monday 6th February.
At the signing, Consul General Fujiwara spoke with the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Özgür Yavuzer. Able to relate to the difficulties earthquake prone countries face, Consul General Fujiwara was saddened by the enormous damage caused by the earthquake and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the deceased and their families, and expressed his sympathy to the injured.
