Attendance at the Japan Society of Scotland AGM (4th February 2023)

On Saturday, February 4, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara attended the Annual General Meeting of the Japan Society of Scotland. This year's meeting was held face-to-face for the first time in three years after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions forced the previous meetings to be held remotely.

As the disruption of the pandemic begins to settle, we look forward to the return of JSS’s usual comprehensive seminars, talks and hands-on events this year. In terms of interest in Japan, this year in particular has seen great interest in the rising numbers of Japanese football players joining Scottish teams. I hope that the JSS will be able to incorporate and explore this topic in their future activities.
