Attendance at the Scotland Japanese School Sports Day (16th September 2023)

| On Saturday, the 16th of September, Deputy Consul General Minori Ishii attended the Scotland Japanese School’s sports day. After watching events such as the egg and spoon race and red vs. white relay race, the Deputy Consul General gave a closing statement to encourage the students saying; “Although there will be wins and losses in every competition, the most important thing is to do your best. I was greatly moved by the hard work of every student today and by the way that they all cheered for their peers. In the future, and during your time at the Scotland Japanese school please do your best in everything you can and continue to spend your time supporting your peers.” |
A final, spontaneous, tug-of-war event was also held between one of the Consulate General’s staff members, David Aitken, against the students of the school causing a lot of excitement in the venue. |
