Pianist Makoto Ozone performs in Edinburgh with Scotland National Jazz Orchestra and Royal Scottish National Orchestra (May 3rd)

| On May 3rd, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara attended the concert of pianist Makoto Ozone and the Scotland National Jazz Orchestra (SNJO) with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (SNJO) co-starring at Usher Hall in Edinburgh. The music was a new and original arrangement of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” by SNJO’s artistic director, a grand piece composed of varied elements of jazz and classical music. Mr Ozone’s musical performance was filled with an energetic feeling, and the concert was a sublime experience for both the audience and the performers. After Edinburgh, Mr Ozone will also be performing at concerts in Glasgow and Aberdeen. We are hopeful that many other Japanese artists like Mr Ozone will come to Scotland to perform. |
