Attendance at the opening ceremony of the first Yoshinoya affiliated "Bariuma Ramen" in Europe (2nd October 2024)
2024/10/7

On the 2nd of October, Deputy Consul General Minori Ishii attended the opening ceremony of the Yoshinoya affiliated “Bariuma Ramen” store in Edinburgh. Bariuma Ramen, which was established in Hiroshima and has 52 stores in Japan and abroad, is known for it’s popular “Ultimate Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen” made using the finest tamari soy sauce base to maximise the flavour of the pork bone broth.
The Edinburgh store, which opened at 41 Cockburn Street, is the first store in Europe to serve Bariuma Ramen. All of the soup bases are imported directly from Japan and the noodles are homemade, so you can enjoy the authentic taste of Japanese tonkotsu ramen. In addition, there are plenty of side dishes such as karaage, katsu curry and gyoza. There are two dining halls that can accommodate up to 30 people each (60 people in total), and partial reservations of each hall are also possible.
