On November 14th, Deputy Consul General Minori Ishii attended a talk entitled "Shōgun to The Crown: Costume design with Carlos Rosario and Jane Petrie" at the invitation of Leonie Bell, Director of V&A Dundee. The event was co-hosted by V&A Dundee and Dundee Contemporary Arts and hosted to coincide with the current V&A Dundee exhibition "Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk". The speakers were Carlos Rosario, who won an Emmy Award in the costume design category for his work on "Shōgun", and Dundee-born designer Jane Petrie, who was in charge of the costumes for "The Crown". They gave a very interesting insight into the costume design for two of the most talked-about TV series in recent history and sparked a lot of questions by members of the audience at the end. The event was a great success.
