Consul General Fujiwara delivers farewell speech to Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Alison Johnstone MSP (26th February 2025)

On 26th February, Consul General Tadashi Fujiwara paid a courtesy call on the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, the Rt Hon Alison Johnstone, to say farewell. The Presiding Officer expressed her gratitude to Consul General Fujiwara for his cooperation in promoting Japan-Scotland relations, and stated her strong hope that the relationship would continue to strengthen under the new Consul-General. The two also exchanged views on a wide range of common issues, including the problems of an aging population and declining birthrate, energy issues, and rising prices.
