Consul General Takeda visit to the National Museum of Scotland (16th April 2025)

On April 16, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited the National Museum of Scotland, one of the main venues for the Edinburgh Science Festival.
At the Science Festival, the Consul General was guided by Christabel Barrowman through an exhibit based on the theme of this year's event, "Spaceship Earth." This year the Science Festival coincided with the Easter holiday and so, there were lots of children enjoying the activities. One of the most popular activities was to create a three-line poem about science ("Sci-ku") based on the structure of Japanese “Haiku” poems. The Consul General also toured the museum, focusing on exhibits related to Japan contained in the permanent East Asia exhibition and exhibits related to the Ainu people.
