Visit to Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Neil Gray MSP

On 8th May, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda paid a courtesy call on Mr. Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, to introduce himself as the new Consul General of Japan in Edinburgh.
During their meeting, the two exchanged views not only on cooperation between Japan and Scotland in the health sector, but also on ways to further deepen cooperation between Japan and Scotland. Their discussion included the ongoing Osaka Expo 2025, and the issue of population decline and ageing populations. They also discussed cooperation between Japan and the Orkney Islands, where the Cabinet Secretary is from.
