Attendance at Final Karate Training Session of Mr Allan Spence
2025/5/31
On Saturday 31 May, Cultural Consul Mr Masataka Abe attended the final karate training session given by Mr Allan Spence at Ainsley Park Karate Club in Edinburgh.
Mr Spence began practicing karate in 1967 and has worked tirelessly throughout his 58 years of training to popularise and develop karate in Scotland. As a co-founder of the Scottish Karate Federation (SKF) he has even applied his efforts towards building relationships between Scotland and Japan.
Many students participated in the final practice session and approached their training with earnest. Mr Spence’s efforts so far deserve the utmost respect, and hopefully his students will carry on this spirit and continue to practice karate whilst playing an active role as a bridge between Scotland and Japan.
