Consul General Takeda’s attendance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 Launch Event

On 3 June, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda attended the launch event of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is one of the world's largest performing arts festivals, which has been held for approximately three weeks every August since 1947. This year the Festival will be held from August 1st to 25th. It will be made up of 3,352 shows held in 265 venues across Edinburgh city. The shows cover a variety of genres, including theatre, dance, music and comedy, and feature 49,521 performers from 58 countries.
At present, 15 groups or performers from Japan are scheduled to participate during the festival. We hope that their participation will not only promote Japanese performing arts, but also further promote international exchanges in these areas.
