Courtesy call on the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Cllr David Cameron

On 9 June, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda paid a courtesy call on the Rt Hon Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Cllr David Cameron to introduce himself as a new Consul General.
During their meeting, the two exchanged views on a wide range of topics. These included the historical ties between Scotland and Japan beginning with Thomas Blake Glover of the late Edo period, industrial sectors such as oil-related and renewable energy, the "Aberdeen Japan Day" event scheduled to be held every September, and ways to further deepen collaboration and cooperation between Japan and Aberdeen.
