Consul General Takeda’s courtesy call on the Principal of the University of Stirling.
2025/6/11

On 11 June, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda paid a visit to Professor Sir Gerry McCormac, the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Stirling. Founded in 1967, the University of Stirling is the first, newly established, comprehensive campus-based university in Scotland in approximately 400 years. The university has had deep ties with Japan for over 40 years, having previously been home to a Japanese Studies Centre. During their meeting, the two spoke about past collaborative engagements, including those promoting Japanese culture and the upcoming "Overseas Atomic Bomb Exhibition" scheduled to be held at the University from October this year, and agreed to continue to work closely together.
Afterwards, Public Affairs Manager Mr Matthew Francis gave Consul General Takeda a tour of the campus which is blessed with an expansive natural environment and wide range of facilities.
