Visit of Ben Nevis Distillery under Asahi Breweries ownership

On Wednesday 2^nd July, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited Ben Nevis Distillery, owned by Asahi Breweries, and was guided by Managing Director Harada to observe the manufacturing process. The distillery is operated by Japan's Nikka Whisky nestledat the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The distillery is said to be one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. The distillery is currently operated by Nikka Whisky, a subsidiary of Asahi Breweries after being acquired by them in 1989.
