Consul General Takeda visit to Highlands and Islands Enterprise

On Friday 4^th July, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited Highlands and Islands Enterprise in Inverness and met with Ms Elaine Hanton, Head of Energy, Mr Martin Johnson, Director for Strategy and Regional Economy, and Mr Stephanie Andrew, Area Team Leader - HIE Inner Moray Firth. They exchanged views on a wide range of issues including the relationship between Japan and the Highlands, including trends in direct investment in the Highlands and the construction of a factory by Sumitomo Electric Industries. The two parties agreed to continue to work closely together in the future.
