On Wednesday 10th September, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda paid a courtesy call on Gillian Martin MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Energy. The Cabinet Secretary will be visiting Japan from the 15th to 19th of September, where she will meet with Japanese companies and other parties, deliver a keynote speech at WIND EXPO 2025 to be held at Makuhari Messe, and take part in the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, where she will showcase Scotland's offshore wind power energy.
During their meeting, the two exchanged views on ways to further deepen collaboration and cooperation between Japan and Scotland in the field of renewable energy, including through new investment.
