Attendance at Edinburgh University Japan Society “Japan Fest”

On Friday 12th September, Consul Masataka Abe attended 'Japan Fest' organised by the University of Edinburgh Japan Society. This event is held annually with the aim of fostering familiarity amongst the student body with Japan, welcoming new students who have just enrolled at Edinburgh University, and introducing Japanese food culture through tasting 'sushi' and 'sake'. The event also featured a demonstration of Kendo by the University's Kendo club.
More than 120 participants attended, not only Japanese students, and it is hoped that interaction like this amongst those interested in Japan will contribute to further friendship and goodwill.
