Courtesy visit to the Metro Mayor of the Tees Valley, Ben Houchen

On Friday, 19th September, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited the Tees Valley Combined Authority in Northeast England and paid a courtesy call on the Metro Mayor of the Tees Valley, Ben Houchen, Baron Houchen of High Leven.
During their meeting, both parties exchanged a broad range of views on the activities of Japanese companies based in Teeside, the outcomes of the trade mission visit to Japan led by Mayor Houchen in 2018, and on key sectors in the region including renewable energy. Both also agreed to continue promoting collaboration and cooperation together in the future.
