On Thursday 26th February, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited Teikyo University of Japan in Durham.

Teikyo University’s Durham campus was established in 1990 and has accepted students from Japan and provided education for over 35 years. It also promotes Japanese culture and international exchange through annual events such as the Teikyo Festival in October, various events held in collaboration with Durham University and participation in local activities.

On the day, the Consul General toured the campus, including the library which has the largest collection of Japan-related books in North East England. He exchanged views on the university’s previous activities, and agreed to continue to work closely together.
