After that, Scotland’s practicing sumo organisation Sumo Scotland gave a demonstration of the sport. The demonstration allowed the audience to experience real sumo through demonstrations of basic movements and bouts, as well as offering a chance for interested audience members to try it out themselves. Additionally, the European Sumo Championships 2026 will be held at the University of Stirling, hosted by Sumo Scotland, in June.
At the reception, people were able to try chicken chankonabe that appeared in the film.
Despite being the first event of its kind, thanks to the support of the university a very large number of people attended, and the screening was a great success.
