Exchange event with the Japan national football team
2026/3/24
On Tuesday 24th March, the Japan national football team visited Glasgow for an international friendly match against the Scotland national team as part of their UK tour for the FIFA World Cup in June, and held an exchange event with Japanese children. Consisting of primarily students from the Scotland Japanese School, the event was held at Dumbarton Stadium with the support of the Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh.
At the event, seven students of the Scotland Japanese School cheered on the team and handed a Japanese flag with a message of support to the national team players. Afterwards, the national team players expressed their gratitude and took commemorative photos.
As it was also the first day of the training camp for the FIFA World Cup, all participants prayed for the success of the Japan national football team.
