Consul General Takeda’s Visit to the Robert Gordon University

On Monday 15th June, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited Aberdeen, and paid a visit to Veronica Strachan, University Secretary and Vice-Principal for Governance at the Robert Gordon University.
Robert Gordon University annually hosts Japanese students studying marine development, offshore wind power, and energy as a partner in the "Offshore Engineering Summer School." This program, organized by The Nippon Foundation Ocean Innovation Consortium, has been collaborating with overseas universities and institutions since 2016 to foster engineers for the marine development industry, which provides Japanese students with a valuable opportunity to learn about international perspectives and the transition to renewable energy.
During the visit, Veronica Strachan, University Secretary and Vice Principal Governance of the Robert Gordon University, exchanged views on the past relationship between Japan and the University, and agreed to cooperate moving forward.
