Visit to LOGISTEED UK: A Leading Global Logistics Company
2026/7/7
On Tuesday, 7th July 2026, Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited the Washington Headquarters of LOGISTEED UK (formerly Vantec Europe), the UK subsidiary of LOGISTEED, Ltd. (formerly Hitachi Transport System, Ltd.), a leading global logistics company.
Since its establishment in 1990, the company has created over 1,000 jobs in North East England, making a significant contribution to the development of the regional economy. Today, while centering its operations on third-party logistics (3PL) for the automotive industry, it leads the sector as an advanced logistics tech enterprise that develops bespoke digital solutions in-house.
During this visit, Consul General Takeda toured their state-of-the-art Logistics Processing Center (LPC) sprawling across a vast site, experiencing firsthand the high-precision Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery operations and the latest automation equipment supporting the automotive industry. Furthermore, he directly observed their cutting-edge DX training environment, featuring the company’s proprietary 3D immersive training system "VIE" and VR forklift simulators which leverage gaming technology. This visit proved to be an invaluable opportunity to deepen our understanding of their high-value-added initiatives driving the future of logistics.
