On Tuesday, July 7, Minister Takuma Kajita from the Embassy of Japan in the United Kingdon and Consul General Katsutoshi Takeda visited "KASAI UK Ltd," a local subsidiary of Kasai Kogyo located in Washington in the north-east of England. They attended a joint ceremony celebrating the 35th anniversary of KASAI UK and the 80th anniversary of Kasai Kogyo's founding.

Since starting operations in 1991, the plant—which manufactures automotive interior components such as door trims and body side trims—now employs approximately 480 people and continues to support the local economy. The ceremony opened with a tree-planting event to mark the 35th anniversary, during which 16 employees reaching their 35-year service milestone were recognized for their long-term contribution

During the plant tour that followed, KASAI UK showcased its advanced environmental and automation initiatives, such as its eco-friendly "solvent-free bonding technology," the introduction of collaborative robots (cobots), and a highly efficient production control system designed to ensure swift and accurate delivery post-order. In addition, the tour highlighted an advanced workplace environment where production processes are continuously improved through voluntary suggestions and ideas from local employees, demonstrating the company's robust technological and organizational capabilities.
