Based on the agreement signed between the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and the University of Edinburgh Medical School, concerning the exchange of students in June 2018(https://www.edinburgh.uk.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_ja/00_000329.html),three 5th year students from the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine visited Consul General Nozomu Takaoka.
The students come from various specialist fields of research, spanning Gastroenterology, Anaesthesiology, Radiology and Orthopedic Surgery.
Each students the will be assigned to a team of their respected fields at Edinburgh Royal infirmary, where they will conduct their clinical placement.
It is hoped that while they are on placement, the students from both countries can learn from each other’s differences in clinical practice as well as enhance the field of clinical medicine for the future.
